2017 National Night Out

It was a dark and stormy night.......

Ok, it didn't get dark until it was over, although a few soggy souls helped clean up the area in the dark.

Stormy???? Well, mother nature did turn on the faucet just before we began and intermittantly throughout the evening. Luckily, there wasn't any lightning until it was pretty much complete.

The 2017 National Night Out was held at the Woman's Club. Our City Councilman (Mark Soloman) gave us a short synopsis of some of the happenings in the City.

This was also our annual meeting where a new board of directors were elected for 2017. We have two new Board members Will Brown as VP, and Brian Nevill as Sectetary. Continuing their positions are Jeff Burrows as President, and Julie Conway as Treasurer.

The City Mayor and Police Chief came by for a visit this year. We had a surprise visit by Angie Chen Button, our state representative.

Chick-fil-A chicken sandwiches, Pizza Hut Pizza, salad, tea, water, and cookies were served to the hungry neighbors.

There were nurmerous door prizes handed out to lucky members who brought their 2018 dues and information forms.

A great big THANK YOU goes out to the Roffino's, Lassiter's, O'brian's, Arnet's, Burrows,and others for putting on the event this year.

Special "thanks" goes to Richardson Women Club for letting us use their grounds for this important community event. If you missed it, you missed a great time. See you next year!
