Neighborhood Integrity

The vitality and integrity of the City of Richardson’s neighborhoods is a priority in the community. The City has consistently taken a progressive approach to addressing neighborhood issues. In 1979 the City became the first in the Metroplex to create a Neighborhood Integrity Program. For more than twenty years, the City’s Neighborhood Integrity Program has focused on strong yet fair and reasonable enforcement of the city’s codes and ordinances. For more than six years Community Services has used the Email Update program to improve communication with residents and encourage a better working relationship with neighborhood associations. This program came to an end with the release of the City's Map of HOAs & Code Enforcement Activity web page.

Common code violations include:

Residential street numbers must be clearly visible from the street.
High Grass and weeds.
Vegetation - trees must be 14 feet above streets and alleys
Fences can not be leaning or missing slats.
Trash and debris.

Vacant homes:

2110 Sky Ridge Creek - February 2026. This home is now being cleaned up for sale or will be renovated, then sold.
2101 Brandeis Drive - February 2026. Currently owned by HUD. Should be up for sale soon.
1801 Drew Lane - February 2026. Believed to be owned by HUD.
